Day of Caring

Each year Maui United Way unites volunteers to perform a variety of projects (such as landscaping, painting, office cleaning and organizing, etc.) needed by our agencies. It's a great way for businesses to get involved in supporting the community.  A number of Maui businesses send teams of employees to volunteer, finding it invests employees in the work of Maui United Way, builds teamwork and further develops employee relationships.

The day begins with a hearty breakfast for our volunteers. Afterwards, the volunteers are divided into teams, given their projects and sent out to agency sites to perform their tasks. It’s a day filled with energy and excitement. A good time is had by all and there’s a real sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.
