This August, Maui United Way helped local keiki start the school year prepared by providing 206 Office Depot gift cards to families across Maui County through our annual Tools for School Drive. Each gift card, valued at $75, allowed parents and guardians to purchase the supplies their children needed most.
Partnering with Maui County Title I schools and the Boys & Girls Club of Lahaina, the program ensured families had both flexibility and dignity in choosing what best supported their keiki’s learning.
“Through this program, we want to return agency and self-determination to Maui’s families. Keiki deserve the chance to choose their own supplies, their own way.”
